Starting Off~
When you start the game, you find yourself in a taxi with a bird thing named Kapp'n. He will ask you some questions, and this determines what your character will look like. Here's a guide on beginning face and hair.

There are many ways to make money, but I will tell you about some of the quick and easy ones.
Fishing and Bug Catching-
First you will need a fishing rod and/or a net. Both of these can be obtained from Nook's shop after you finish working for him. They cost 500 bells each. Some bugs and fish are really rare and can be sold back to Nook for a lot of money.
You can get the Golden Fishing Rod and the Golden Net by catching every single type of bug and fish. But fishing and bug catching are one of the best ways to make money.
Furniture-
Sometimes the townsfolk will give you furniture for doing things for them. You can sell this to Nook for money, or keep it in your house if you want to. You can also look in the recycling bin or the lost and found for things to sell.
